Events & Workshops
Beyond Diagnosis is a course for anyone who wants to come to better terms with their HIV, whether you were diagnosed many years ago or just last month. It is led by volunteers from the Bloomsbury Network: we are people like you, who are living with HIV ourselves.
Offered either online or in-person across three Saturdays, the BDC is a safe space to get your questions answered, share advice and gain peace of mind. Together, we explore topics like:
Choose the way that works for you
Attend Via Zoom Meetings
Wherever you live, this option lets you stay in your own space whilst connecting safely with a small, supportive group. A link will be sent to you by a member of the Clinic’s Peer Support team, who are also available to help you prepare beforehand. All participants are expected to participate with cameras turned on to create a safe space.
Attend In Person at the Clinic
You may prefer joining us in the seminar room at the Bloomsbury Clinic, where you can interact directly with the group and course leaders. Alongside the workshops, we provide lunch and the chance to get to know one another. Bloomsbury patients may be eligible for travel or childcare subsidies, just ask one of the Peer Support Workers.
We hope you join us!
The BDC is led by men and women from all walks of life – doctors, educators, artists, accountants, mothers – and of course the Clinic’s Peer Support Workers. Many of us were also participants ourselves. We know the challenges of speaking about HIV and the changes that can come when you share those experiences with others.

" So glad I came on the course. I am not newly diagnosed, so my knowledge of HIV was from many years ago. Great to be more updated with the knowledge this course provides. It was the best thing I have done in a long time. " Michael, Marketing Director
" The Course exceeded my expectations ". Tom, policeman
" I meet extremely nice people who understand me and give me encouragement ". Olori, mother
